Terms of Use
Last updated:
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Cockpitify mobile app, our backend services and the cockpitify.app website (together, the “Service”), operated by Cockpitify (“Cockpitify”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for a company, you agree for that company, and you confirm you may do so.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter into a binding contract. The Service is meant for app developers and businesses.
2. Your account
- Keep your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Give us an email address you can receive mail at, and keep it up to date.
- Tell us at support@cockpitify.app if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
3. What the Service does
Cockpitify shows you information about your own app: its users, revenue, AI and service costs, usage and stability. It sends notifications and webhooks when things happen. To do this, it installs a small ops layer (a database schema, functions and scheduled jobs) in the Supabase project you connect, and it reads data from services you link, such as RevenueCat, Sentry, Google Ads, AdMob and the AI and messaging services whose keys you add.
4. Your connected projects
- You may connect only projects and accounts you own or are authorised to manage.
- Before anything is installed, the Service shows you what will be added. By confirming, you authorise us to make those changes. Repairs, updates and removal ask for your approval again.
- The ops layer reads your existing tables and the
authschema and does not change them. It writes only to its ownopsschema. - You can remove the ops layer at any time from Settings → Apps → Remove. Removal deletes the data the ops layer stored, such as recorded AI calls, service readings and analytics, and that data can’t be recovered.
- You are responsible for your project, its backups, its Supabase plan and its costs, including resources the ops layer uses, and for the keys you add.
5. Your data and your users’ data
- You keep all rights to your data and your end users’ data. You give us only the permission we need to provide the Service to you.
- For your end users’ data, you are the controller and we act as your processor, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for that data, for informing your users, and for complying with the laws that apply to your app.
- Don’t use the Service to process data you are not allowed to process.
6. Third-party services
The Service works with services we don’t control, including Supabase, Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Sentry, Slack, Discord and the providers whose balances you track. Your use of them is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, prices or changes, and a change on their side can affect a feature of the Service.
7. Information, not advice
Figures in the Service, such as margin, profit, AI cost, balances, run-out dates, store fees and exchange-rate conversions, are calculated from data provided by you and third parties and may be estimated, delayed or incomplete. They are for information only and are not financial, accounting, tax or legal advice. Check important figures with the original source before relying on them.
8. Plans, trials and payments
- Plans. The Service has a free plan and paid plans (Pro and Team). Each plan has features and limits, described in the app and on cockpitify.app.
- Payment. Paid plans are bought in the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and their terms apply to the payment. Prices are shown in the store in your local currency, including taxes where applicable.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Cockpitify account does not cancel a subscription.
- Trials. A free trial, where offered, turns into a paid subscription at its end unless you cancel before then. We remind you before a trial ends.
- Lifetime. A lifetime purchase gives access to the plan it names for as long as we offer the Service, with no further payments.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer law.
- Changes. We may change prices, features and limits. A price change for an active subscription applies from your next renewal, with the notice the store requires. If we reduce what a paid plan includes, we’ll tell you in advance.
- Lower plans. If your plan ends or you move to a lower plan, apps and services above its limits are locked and stop sending notifications. Nothing is deleted, and they open again when you upgrade.
9. Teams
On the Team plan, the workspace owner can invite others and decide what they can see and change. The owner is responsible for who they invite, the permissions they give, and for the workspace’s subscription. Members can leave at any time. Ownership can’t currently be transferred.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights, through the Service
- connect projects or accounts you are not authorised to access
- interfere with, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users’ data or our systems
- reverse engineer the app or backend, except where the law allows it despite this restriction
- get around plan limits, permissions or security measures
- use webhooks or notifications to send spam or unlawful content
- resell or provide the Service to third parties as your own service without our written agreement
We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these rules, after a warning where reasonable.
11. Our intellectual property
The Service, its software, design and content belong to Cockpitify or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. Parts of the Service, such as the SDKs, are published under open-source licences, and those licences apply to them. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
12. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and secure, but we don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we decide to shut down the Service, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice so you can remove the ops layer from your projects.
13. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data, or business interruption
- we are not liable for losses caused by third-party services, by your project or its configuration, or by decisions you make based on figures in the Service
- our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing
These limits don’t apply to liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, and they don’t affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.
15. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete my account. We may end these Terms or suspend your account if you seriously breach them or if the law requires it. Sections 5, 7, 11, 13, 14 and 17 continue to apply after the Terms end.
16. Apple App Store
If you got the app from the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are between you and Cockpitify, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Your right to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store’s Usage Rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, such as product liability, legal compliance or consumer protection claims.
- If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property, Cockpitify, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of the claim.
- You confirm you are not in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or listed as a terrorist-supporting country, and not on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes will be resolved by the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts or before the consumer arbitration committees and courts that the law makes available to you.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We’ll post the new version here with a new date, and if the changes are significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new Terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
